+### Python
+
+1. **Type hints required** - Use Python 3.12+ syntax:
+   - `list[str]` not `List[str]`
+   - `int | None` not `Optional[int]`
+   - Avoid `Any` when possible
+
+2. **Path handling** - Always use `pathlib.Path`:
